Update your email address and phone number with companies
A new email address or phone number affects invoices, enquiries and sometimes account access. A company’s contact details for you and your sign-in details are not always the same.
Notify companies of a new email address
Review invoice delivery, insurance documents, customer portals and subscriptions. Distinguish contact email, billing email and sign-in ID. A company may send a confirmation link to the new address.
Change your mobile or landline number
Record the complete number including country code and desired effective date. Also check which accounts use SMS for sign-in or recovery. Update those security settings directly with the relevant service.
Stay reachable during the transition
Where possible, keep your previous access until important changes are confirmed. Then check invoices and messages. Never attach passwords, one-time codes or recovery keys to a change notification.
Prepare your request
- Check the new detail for typos and test that it works.
- List relevant providers and customer accounts.
- Handle contact details separately from sign-in and security settings.
- Check confirmations and follow-up requests.
How Connect PD helps
Connect PD provides separate workflows for email, mobile and landline numbers. Enter the new detail and choose the companies that should receive it. The recipients and delivery channels shown in the portal determine what is available.
A contact notification does not change passwords, port your phone number or replace updating two-factor authentication with the recipient.
Frequently asked questions
Will my sign-in email change everywhere?
Not automatically. Check with each service whether the contact address is also the sign-in address and which confirmation is required.
Do mobile and landline changes use the same workflow?
Choose the appropriate change type. Share only the numbers the specific recipient needs.
